Museum one-day courses at UC

The Heritage, Museums and Conservation Program in the UC Faculty of Arts and Design is offering two expert-led, one-day courses on caring for records and other paper items:

Course 1: Preserving paper records – a down-to-earth course on how to handle, store and transport paper documents, including a disaster recovery session. This course is aimed at records managers, librarians and anyone else who loves and cares for old documents.
.
Course 2: Workshop in Paper Conservation – a more in-depth look at paper and how it deteriorates, including practical sessions on how to clean and deacidify old paper. This course is aimed at people who are familiar with basic paper preservation and would like to know more, including emerging conservators and students.

These courses can be done together or separately and are great for professional development in the heritage, archives and conservation sectors. See the attached flyers for further information.

If you have any questions, or would like to attend one or both of these courses, please email Nicole Charnock at Nicole.charnock@canberra.edu.au to confirm your availability.

Please forward this email to interested colleagues or friends – we would love to see them!
