The Windora Bush School is one one of two buildings re-located to the museum grounds of The Oxley Museum run by the Wellington Historical Society in Wellington, NSW. The Windora Bush School exhibit includes desks and school accessories and a teacher. The other building is the Stinson Cottage, a slab dwelling dating to 1851. There are other well-preserved historical sites in the region.
This museum was established in 1967 to preserve and display a record of Wellington’s history. It contains a collection of historical documents and photographs relating to early settlers and their homes, churches, places and sporting events. There is also a period kitchen, a 19th century bedroom an Edwardian parlour, gowns from the past and dress accessories. The Chinese Collection displays items and clothing from W.S. Ling & Co. This store was established in 1879 and closed in 1935.
